WFYO Used $145,300 Grant to Advance E-Counselling Services
December 11, 2023We extend our sincerest thanks to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for presenting WES for Youth […]
Jordyn joined the WES for Youth Online team in June of 2021 as our Social Media & Marketing Coordinator for the summer. Working with the past Development Director, Jordyn took on responsibilities such as revamping WFYO’s social media, marketing materials, and website. Working with the Development Director, Jordyn had the opportunity to interact with the WES for Youth Online community through fundraising initiatives, community events, and stewardship.
In September 2021, WES for Youth Online welcomed Jordyn to the team full time as our Marketing and Communication Coordinator. Jordyn has taken on a larger role in the organization focusing on developing fundraising initiatives, communication campaigns, and more.
Jordyn pursued a degree in Political Science and Women’s Studies at Western University where she first fell in love with communications and public relations. Through some wonderful experiential learning opportunities, Jordyn found her passion of using communications to tell the stories of issues facing communities that were important to her, specifically when advocating for better mental health supports for university students. Jordyn decided to take this passion and pursue a post-graduate education in Public Relations-Corporate Communications from Fanshawe College.
Jordyn has been passionate about advocating for better mental health supports since she was a young girl and is thrilled to have found a place to continue to pursue this passion. She believes that building stronger communities is key to improving youth mental health across Ontario and is proud to be a part of the WES for Youth Online community. In her spare time, Jordyn can be found with her nose stuck in a book or searching for her next travel destination.
