Depression

Depression is associated with persistent negative feelings such as sadness, anger, frustration, irritability, and hopelessness. Depression can affect your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Some people with depressive symptoms struggle doing activities of daily living, lose interest or pleasure in such activities such as hobbies or sports. Sleep disturbances which can look like either insomnia or excessive sleeping, loss of appetite or excessive cravings, and feelings of worthlessness, guilt, and suicidal thoughts can be common. The cognitive distortions associated with depression can be treated effectively through CBT with a therapist and sometimes pharmaceutical intervention can be helpful too.
