  • What issues can I talk to my counsellor about?

    You can talk to your counsellor about anything you want. Everything you share is private and confidential. Common things youth reach out about for counselling support include the following, but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, peer relationships, parent relationships, sexuality and gender, managing stress, concerns about the future, grief, loss, and trauma.

  • Is it Free?

    YES, WES for Youth Online’s e-counselling service is available to youth Ontario youth ages 13-24, free of charge!

  • Do I talk to the same counsellor?

    After you sign up, you will be assigned to a specific counsellor based on your needs. Within 24-48 hours your counsellor will reach out with a welcome letter, which includes some important information.

    You will be able to connect with the same counsellor, unless your needs change. You may request a change of counsellor through your counsellor or by contacting support@wesforyouthonline.ca.

  • Can I meet my counsellor in person?

    WFYO service is provided online ONLY. We do not offer in-person counselling. If you are interested in finding a counsellor to work with in person, your counsellor can help you connect to local resources.

  • I am in Crisis. Can my counsellor help me?

    WFYO does not provide crisis support services. Your SAFETY is our top priority, so please visit I NEED IMMEDIATE HELP  to access local crisis services.

  • Why must I provide personal information?

    Providing personal information to WFYO assists us to understand you better, which also helps us to support you better! Having your personal information will also assist us in finding local resources for you or in case we need to send you help.
