Tell me more!

A Social Good Opportunity also known as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), is all about how you and your workplace can make the world around you better through supporting an initiative that means something to you as a collective. This can be environmental, ethical or philanthropic.

Philanthropic social good opportunities allow employees the chance to connect with one another on a deeper level, showcase a company’s corporate values and build trust with your external stakeholders- all while helping a charity continue to achieve their mission.

According to the Development Business Bank of Canada, 75% of consumers say that they would pay more for products or services from a socially responsible company.

How can my workplace support a social good opportunity for WES for Youth Online?

So glad that you asked! There are many ways for organizations to support WES for Youth Online through social good opportunities:

  • See if your employer would be interested in an employee matching gift
  • Circulate information about our service to your team or someone you know internally, whose youth could benefit from free online mental health counselling
  • Host a Dress Down Day or Blue Jean Friday at your workplace and donate $2 to WES for Youth Online to participate
  • Get creative and offer an In-Kind service as a silent or live auction item, to one of our virtual fundraising events
  • Ask your employer about the ability to volunteer with us during work hours
