(She/Her)
On the surface, Candice is a graduate from Lambton College from the Child and Youth Worker program and is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She has 14 years of experience working with victims of domestic violence as well as youth who struggle with mental health and behavioural issues. In addition, she also has experience working within the school board in the Autism Spectrum Disorder and Fetal Alcohol Disorder classroom. When Candice started her career, she quickly realized her passion for working with children, adolescents and adults on a more emotional level. It’s her goal is to help, support and encourage individuals to be the best version of themselves, while working towards her clients set of goals in order to achieve their desired outcome, and to secure their full potential.
On a personal level, Candice enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as various outdoor activities including camping, swimming, kayaking or simply taking in the calmness of watching the St. Lawrence River on a quiet evening walk. Candice also enjoys traveling as it provides her a sense of relaxation and creates memories, but also it gives her the opportunity to learn about other customs and cultures.
Candice’s personal philosophy of counselling begins with compassion, safety and confidentiality. It is paramount to ensure that my clients feel heard, safe and supported while building a therapeutic foundation. Candice is very welcoming and non-judgemental ensuring to help clients understand their uniqueness and strengths. She has a sense of humour, and is creative with a gentle open-minded approach, while displaying respect and calmness in her counselling sessions. She feels it’s truly a privilege to be a part of WES for Youth Online and to walk together while we discover and evaluate your path of healing and recovery.
