Hillary Trudeau is Anishinaabe from Serpent River First Nation and grew up in Southampton Ontario.
Presently, Hillary works for the Serpent River First Nation as the Director of Education. Prior to this, Hillary has worked for Georgian College in various capacities including Indigenous Student Advisor at the Owen Sound campus.
Hillary has consistently served her people in various roles at Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle,
NORDIK Institute and the University of Guelph. In 2016, Hillary was part of the inaugural Feather Carriers
program in Rama First Nation. The purpose of Feather Carriers: Leadership for Life Training was to create a community-based support system using traditional and cultural teachings such as life promotion/premature death (suicide) prevention. Hillary has also participated in Mental Health First Aid training. Hillary graduated from the University of Guelph-Bachelor of Arts (2009); Algoma University-Certificate Community Economic & Social Development (2013) and Certificate in Project Management-Georgian College (2017).
We provide an ongoing one-to-one connection with a professional counsellor. Our online counselling service allows youth to connect with a professional and qualified counsellor by self referral, to explore the issues being faced in a secure and online environment.
